Composing for Media
Composing for media, for me, is an effort to connect a visual narrative with a clean, breathing soundscape. My work focuses primarily on original piano works—listening closely to the internal rhythm of each project, using the piano as a vehicle for bare, deep, and essential expression.
Every composition begins with listening. Even before the first note touches the keyboard, we listen for the subtle movement beneath the surface—the story waiting to be told and the atmosphere the subject seeks.
From this encounter, the melody emerges:
-
Discovering the Core Motif: Finding a pure, foundational idea that binds the piece together.
-
Movement & Breath: Tuning rhythm and dynamics so the music breathes naturally alongside the imagery.
-
Intimacy & Simplicity: Preserving the raw, authentic sound of the piano and delivering it effortlessly.
